Click here for help on accessing the Unstable branch!

The game changer has arrived! Introducing the first update to add godlike elements to the world of Retro-Pixel Castles! Give the new system a shot, and let me know what you think. :)

This patch also includes a huge list of AI tweaks and fixes thanks to your guy's inputs and some of my own findings. Let me know if you find any other bugs, or if you have any balance suggestions.

You can report bugs over at the official website's Support and Bugs Forum, or on the Steam Discussion Board. :)

May have to reboot Steam, else it may take an hour or so before your client realizes there is an update out. :)

Massive improvement.

Noticeably increased level of zombies, however the healing aura spell makes my guard swarm handle it quite capably.

Feels like I need to keep paying attention though, and it's sucking up most all of my mana.

Got to play up to day 7 before it crashed to desktop (no error, just game quit), using cullis gate for population boost, got it up to 36.

Breeding still doesn't feel like it's worth it (I tested it in the previous version in peaceful, I hit day 7 before I got my first pregnancy with half the town on idle the whole time)

Yes, very great update!  :D

The game feels much more balanced, and gives the player more stuff to do besides watch settlers sit and build!

Could you check your /logs/ folder for a crash log? Usually a no-error CTD will generate a stack trace inside the last /logs/ file generated.

As for breeding, I'll probably continue to improve it throughout InDev 15. :)

Awesome! That was exactly what the entire influence system was designed to do. :D

Actually, I think you should have description boxes to explain the Influence Spells.

Also, chatting is very buggy. Heroes will stand right next to monsters destroying my buldings and just keep talking.

I was going to do a swing-out box like the buildings have. :)

and yeah, chatting is a bit annoying sometimes right now. I'm hoping to have it better balanced before InDev 15 is released.
