Crash to desktop during loading. I tried three times to load it up crashed at the exact same spot every time. [ Loading - Entities Module ]

 

I am on OSX 10.10.x, Java 8 u40, 4GB ram, Intel HD 3000, 2.8 ghz intel I7

Thanks. I'll have a hotfix out shortly.
 
For now, you can open up your RPC install folder, go into /res/ and rename:
namesFemaleKickStarter.txt
namesMaleKickStarter.txt
 
to:
namesFemaleKickstarter.txt
namesMaleKickstarter.txt
 
and it should load right up. :)

It's possible OSX is being a dummy, and when you rename the file to the same thing with different casing it isn't actually renaming the file.

 

I should have the patch out in about half an hour though, if you just want to wait for it.

Alrighty, I've made a liar out of myself. This is a bit more complicated of a problem, it seems OSX is having issues reading the actual file.

 

This might take a little longer to fix than anticipated. :)

Glad you did too, I work primarily on Windows. So even though I usually test builds on OSX and Linux before releasing them, sometimes some bugs slip by. :)

 

I think I've found the problem, but it'll probably take a couple of hours to fix.

Hey just FYI OSX's  default filesystem (HFS+) is case-insensitive by default. So renaming it to de-capitalize "S" had no actual effect:

% echo "POOP" >> /tmp/Foo
% cat /tmp/fOO
POOP
%
