Specs: i7-5820K, GTX 1080 Ti, 32GB RAM
 

The game opens and runs just fine, until I try to load Clearland (which I had visited/made progress on) from my save.

Does that happen to be a sandbox mode village, and if yes, did you ever force delete any buildings?

No, it's a traditional game mode village. When I was last able to get to it, it had a lot of trash on the ground from a lot of buildings being destroyed, if you think that may be some sort of indicator as to what's going wrong.

Ray may want to poke at the save to try and see just what went wrong and where. You can upload most easily via the in game uploader, on the profile selection page, arrow next to the profile. Pick crash as the reason, and comment with the region that's crashing on load.  The game should tell you when the upload is complete. If it fails, you can just zip up your profiles folder in game install location, and upload that to your prefered filesharing site.

 

Once uploaded, you can try the backup saves. With the region selected on world map, hold shift, and try the backup saves that should then be visible.

Have you tried a save rollback? It might get you up and running. If it doesn't I can probably manually fix your save and return it to you. Either way, I'll use your save to dig around and try to find the original cause. :)

 

To do a save rollback, just navigate to the region on the world map, before visiting hold left shift, then click on the second item on the save rollback panel that pops up. If it doesn't work, try the third, forth, etc.

Yeah, I did the rollback and it's working. Forgot to say that in my previous post. I'm not particularly concerned about the save though. Hopefully the profile I sent will be useful for debugging!
