The site this forum is hosted on doesn't seem to have a valid SSL certificate for HTTPS transport. This makes the login process for the forums insecure, which in turn makes me nervous about using my account here.

I see the hosting provider you seem to be using has a new "Free SSL" option, perhaps this would be worth looking into? They have some documentation on it here: https://www.inmotion.../auto-ssl-guide

I registered to make my first post to agree with this. https://letsencrypt.org/ is another free option. We all know that you shouldn't reuse passwords but people still do it. Sending these passwords unencrypted is a huge security risk for users. Hopefully passwords are salted and hashed too!
