Hi

What is the default resolution for the game? And how can I know what it is set currently?

Can the resolution be changed without changing the system res?

have a 1920x1440 and the txt can be hard to read.

thx

In this game, resolution is equal to window size, so for example if you have 1920x1440 screen resolution and you maximise game you will have 1920x(1440- taskbar height) resolution. If you go fullscreen, your resolution will be equal to 1920x1440. As I heard from developer, game should auto scale UI if resolution is atleast 1440p(1920x1440).

Because it's a pixel art game, partial UI scaling looks terrible. Rayvolution is working on it for the future, but the game has a built in UI scaler. It only activates when you reach double or triple the normal GUI size as apparently there's problems with text flowing out of boxes. So everything looks just right at 1080p, 1440p, and 4K. You don't actually have a 1440p display, that would be 2,560x1440. If you can set your resolution to 2,560x1440, do so, and the UI size will be at the best it's going to be unless rayvolution makes further improvements.

*Edit: The comment above mine suggests ray may have meant a 1920x1440p display, so you should try maximizing a window with alt+enter if fullscreen is not increasing window size. It shouldn't be different, but you never know!

Oh, I may be wrong, about 1920x1440, officialy 1440p is 2560x1440, however some people 1920x1440 calls 1440p too, but it depends on how game handles resolution, if it checks only height, it should work.

The windows recommended is 2560x1440 which I have it set at, I tried 1920x1200 and its a HUGE improvement in scale and detail.  then played with a couple more resolutions and discovered, because 2560x1440 defaults pretty small icons on the desktop I have set windows display scalling to 125%, thats nice and easy on the eyes for the desktop. So trying that at 150% in game messed it up, however setting it back to 100% PRESTO, it brings all the icons and detail in game to a much bigger and easy on the eyes layout. Now if only I could zoom out more lol. Its good thank you for your advise.

It is odd, counter-intuitive, that scaling Up actually reduces or shrinks the ui.

Having played around with diff resolutions I like 1920x1200, the ui would be easier if it were slightly bigger. But not as big as in 2560x1440.

There are no resolution settings in the game, but you can change the UI scaling..

Open up profiles/settings.properties, find forceInterfaceScale and you can change it to any value you want. -1 is automatic, anything else will scale proportionally. (2 is double size, 3 is triple, etc.) You can also set fractional resolutions like 1.3, 1.5, etc, but it may distort the GUI graphics a bit.

If the game's scale doubler didn't kick in for your monitor, chances are you don't want to go up to "2" though. I'd try around 1.5, 1.6 or so and work from there.

A proper in-game slider in the settings menu may be added down the road. :)

You probably forgot to remove the negative sign.

Negative values will confuse the renderer and invert everything. :)
