Game crash. Failed to load provisioners resources.

The game crashed suddenly and the log shows me: 

Failed to load provisioner resources.

Failed to load limbo villagers.
 
My specs are
Graphics: Radeon RX 580 Series (8 GB) Driver version 23.20.793.0
 
CPU: Ryzen 5 1600X Driver version 10.0.16299.15
 
Operating system Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
 
Game version 29 3b
 
Settings: 
Dedicated thread: On (12 threads)
 
Every other setting on max except Particle Amount (reduced)
 
I could start and load the game again and when I removed my provisioners from the marketplace it didn't crash again. Didn't crash after I assigned provisioners again.

Actually the failed to load error can be ignored, it's an internal failure on the main menu (Because the game runs the simulation in the background, but there's no actual villagers, provisioners, etc) so some things fail to load.

 

Your actual crash looks like it has to do with my new font code. I *suspect* it might be a villager or doggo name with an illegal character in it the new font code can not render. If that's the case I may be able to fix your save for you (and locate the 'bad' name) if you send me your profile.

 

Just go to the profile select screen, click the arrow, then click "dev request" and upload. If your profile name is different than your username here, let me know.

 

If I can fix the save, do you want a working copy back?

Whoops, sorry, missed that part. Although it is still a font related crash. I'll poke around, it may be related to something in the inventory displaying the wrong name. Although I won't know for sure until then. ;)

 

I'll try to have whatever-it-is fixed by U4's release.
